Why Us?

John and Diane Jensen.jpeg
  • We have the best location on the Nushagak River. Centrally located the bulk of the fish run on our side of the river, right on our doorstep!

  • We have a long, gently tapered sandy gravel beach, allowing for GREAT bank fishing. Our clients caught 60+ fish from our beach in one day last summer (2019)!

  • Our all-inclusive camp includes lodging, home style meals, boats, guiding, tackle, bait, fish processing (vacuum sealing and freezing) as well as the scenic float plane ride to camp.

  • Alaska's Nushagak King Camp is a tent camp, high quality Weatherport type tents and shelters including cots, pads, etc. This is a true Alaska wilderness experience as opposed to the lodge camps yet it is still "cozy," comfortable, safe and very FISHY!

  • Our cooks are excellent and serve hearty, homestyle meals and snacks.

  • Our owner/operator guides are Coast Guard certified with CPR and first aid training. They have years of fishing experience and we know how to catch fish!

  • Our boats are 18-20 foot Kofflers, Alumaweld, and Crestliners (the stable walk around type) with 4-stroke Yamaha outboards.

  • We provide varied other fun options like mini fishing how-to seminars for the novice and skilled fisherman alike, scenic photo options boat rides, etc. (in case the anglers' arms wear out from fighting fish!)

  • We provide any help needed regarding details of your trip, preparation, lists, licensing, travel arrangements and "What to and not to" suggestions. WE won't leave you "fishin' in the dark!"

  • Our rates are great and we feel are the best "bang for your buck." Our camps are comparatively small with 10-15 clients at a time (compared with 40 clients in some camps). This allow us to have a more "hands-on" and personal experience with you.

  • We generally use the float plane based at the town of King Salmon (most camps use Dillingham). King Salmon has many more commercial flights from Anchorage, allowing clients to catch the boat plane and arrive at our camp the same day. The Dillingham route generally involves a very inconvenient and expensive overnight stay. The King Salmon airport is much more user friendly and has access to a store a block away for the last minute stuff.

  • We SMILE a lot! Its easy to smile when your clients are continually yelling "Fish On"!
