This is a great idea! A tent that fits in the bed of your truck, genius!
Very easy to assemble and made of excellent quality materials that are well sewn together. Couldn't be more pleased with how much I love this!!! Takes truck camping to the next level!

Reasonably Good Quality Truck Tent

I have owned this tent for about a month and a half and waited to review because I had not yet used it. I camped using it for 2 nights this week and here are my initial thoughts. Materials of the tent body and rain fly seem to be of pretty good quality. Zippers could be better, but they work fine with a little effort. I own a Nissan Titan with a 5 1/2' bed and this tent fit it well coming to the end of the tailgate. I was well pleased with that. It rained, pretty heavily at times, during the 2 days that I had the tent pitched and it did stay 100% dry inside. Ventilation is pretty good. It helped that could leave the door and all windows with only the mesh zipped up, especially helped by the awning that enabled me to leave the big door with only mesh zipped. One downside is that the fly lies flat against the tent body but I was able to rig a way to pull the fly away from the side bodies and ties off like venting the fly on a ground tent. Otherwise it would have really hurt ventilation. My biggest complaint, so far, would be with the quality of the poles. They are fiberglass and I did have 2 crack during this trip. I was able to tape them tightly with duct tape and make due, but fiberglass poles will almost always crack. They should us a good quality aluminum pole and this would solve the issue. My other issue is with the setup. This will probably get better with more frequent use, but it is a much longer process than I am used to. I have several ground tents and they all set up in 3 to 5 minutes where this one takes near 20. Overall not bad so far except for the poles which are garbage.

Update:
After this review I was contacted by KingCamp about my issues. When I described the issue I had with 2 shattered poles and sent along pictures, they told me that they would replace the damaged poles. It took a few weeks to receive the poles, but they arrived today. Let me say that my experience has been exceptional with respect to the company's customer service. At any point when I contacted them I received a reply within 1 working day and they worked hard to make the problem that I had right.

Nice!

This KingCamp Truck Bed Tent 6.5 Foot Truck Camping Tent is really nice. I feel this is a good quality tent and should last a long time. I was excited to try this tent out. Everything went well, pretty easy set up, and it fit really nice. Of course, check to see if this model is designed for your truck. I like the idea of sleeping in the back of my truck instead of a tent. I felt more secure and safe. It's great that I can park anywhere and set up camp. Because of the ease of set up, hopefully I will spend more time in the outdoors. It seems like the tent will hold up in the rain, and in windy conditions. Looking forward to my next get away!

Getting up off the ground in a truck tent is so worth it!

I mean, wherever the truck can go, I can camp! Doesn't matter if the ground is a bit bumpy, rocky or whatever since my tent and sleeping spot is high up off that ground! This tent takes a few minutes to set up, I then add a piece of egg crate foam across the bottom, then my sleeping bag. I like that this has an awning where my chair and a small folding table can stay out of rain or the hot sun of the day. Great for parking near the lake for a day of fishing or getting close to some good hiking trails and after a day out on the lake or the trails, I have a comfortable place to sleep. This tent fits my truck bed well (do be sure to check the size to see if it fits your truck), has great ventilation (I also have a solar/USB fan to help) and is definitely rain-resistant. Stores fairly small for those spur of the moment weekend trips. I would definitely recommend this to anyone (if it fits their truck bed).
